series. This is going to be Paul Washer. Now last summer the messages we shared

from Washer were off the charts. They were so helpful and so practical and

this one will be no different. The title of it is what your soul needs and it's going to be an hour

in 35 minutes. It's again washer with more of a talk. You feel like you're sitting down on the

couch and or in a group setting just with him as he shares his heart and points us to

scripture but here's the deal with this episode in this sermon in particular if you've

ever said you know I see my preacher and he just seems like he has it all together.

Does he ever sin or maybe you're a Christian and you see women in the church and

men in the church and they look a certain way and act a certain way

what one theologian calls functional perfectionism.

It's just so obvious on the outside

that apparently they have it all together

and they must never struggle like you.

Washer brings all of that up in this message and reminds us that

pastors are people too and all of us no matter how perfect somebody looks on the

outside that we sin we need to repent and people say oh come on of course everybody

does nobody thinks that but you know and I know that in the church we get this veneer we put it up

and everybody knows the Bible answers but underneath we're in
