where I provide you with what I would just call road trip worthy sermons. I've carefully selected

five, and so we're going to go five straight weeks every Monday, a new sermon that will

encourage deeper reflection and devotion to Christ throughout your summer.

Some of these sermons are from recent years.

I've got a couple of classics from years ago.

Wherever you're at this summer, the series is going to be a huge encouragement to you.

First up, defeating discontentment by

Pastor John MacArthur. He is a renowned Bible teacher, and he preached this sermon about three

and a half years ago. And in this message, Pastor John addresses a very typical and common

struggle that we all face. That is discontentment. And I think this is especially pertinent

during the summer because the backdrop of good desires, family memories, material, relational

blessings, all good things, can, we'll say invade a deeper satisfaction that we find in Christ. And

pretty soon, whether it's comparison or selfish ambition, even for good things, we begin to

pursue all of that and we lose our contentment. And that leads to anxiety, frustration, a lack of

joy, many other particular issues. And so what Pastor John's sermon will do is bring us back

to the reality of satisfaction in Christ, and it'll push away the breeding ground of anxiety and fear

and emboldened you to root your satisfaction in the Lord.

And he doesn't just diagnose the problem.
