resurgence, which nobody liked either and got creamed by finding Dory at the box office of all things.

But we have at least two Rohn-emmerich apologists here in the room and we want to talk about

why at least Richard and I keep coming back to the director of the original Independence Day, but also Stonewall and

10,000 BC and some other terrible movies.

And what might happen for next after Independence Day resurgence kind of flopped.

From there, we'll venture to the total other side of the

box office spectrum and talk about what's looking like the art house hit of the

summer at least so far at the lobster. But first the week in Oscar news which

involves looking at another box office

flop Richard you saw Free State of Jones I did not and may not have even known it

existed if I hadn't read your review what happened there I don't know what happened there. It's one of it's a movie from

STX which is this new sort of mid-budget studio that has been profiled in New Yorker.

Long profile in New York. Yeah and a really fascinating one that people should read, just kind of about how financing

is working for this one company in LA.
