Hey, are you beautiful people and welcome to the Glorious in the Mendein podcast, specifically

to the Summer in the Solm series?

I'm your host, Christine Ockles.

Believe it or not, this summer marks the seventh birthday of this podcast.

When I started the Glorious in the Mendein, not only did I not know what I was doing,

there were also not many other Christian podcasts out there, especially by women.

So I didn't have much to go on in terms of how to do this, but looking back, I'm so glad

that I just started winging it and figuring it out.

I owe a lot to my husband, Nathan, who has been listening to podcasts since they were

first to think, and he was the one who encouraged me in the first place like you can do this.

And then he began recording me and uploading it for me.

And then there's my manager, Matt Geist, who has also been a huge cheerleader for me in

the form of all things, really, organization, but definitely organizing countless interviews

over the years as I was interviewing anyone from Beth Moore to Bob Goff to Annie Downs.

And I'm just so grateful to still be doing this after all this time.

And now here we are.

Anyone and everyone has a podcast.

There's literally countless Christian women out there doing this now.

And many of those women even own entire podcast networks.

And that makes me happy.

But I'm just grateful to still be making some episodes right here with Nate, as we're

recording in our garage turned recording studio, say, hey, Nate, to everybody.
