Summary

Today we’re in beautiful Psalm 19 where we’ll remember together that God set revelation in the heavens that is pouring out promise over us day and night, night and day!

This kind of framework, His order, His heart, His way, postures us to look into His rules, even His boundaries for us. To heed their warning—yes—but to also know the great reward in keeping His way! Certainly one of the greatest rewards is His very presence and even confession and repentance can afford us a closeness with Him that we might not find any other way! I’ll talk to you soon!

Hey, are you beautiful people? And welcome to the glorious and the mundane podcast. I'm your host,

0:18.1

Christine Ackles. I have loved coming around these as for me declarations together as a way of

0:24.2

centering our hearts in the middle of the ebb and flow of summer. I know that for many of you,

0:29.9

at least if you live in the south, the school is about to start. So it's going to start feeling not

0:35.6

so much like summer anymore. I mean, we've still got the heat, but it's funny, isn't it, that we've

0:40.7

come to think of the season of summer as vacation from the school year. And somehow in our minds,

0:46.4

it's like, at least for me, August gets lumped in with the fall season in some ways, or at least in

0:52.1

terms of rhythms and schedules kicking back in. But my hope is that these last few episodes of

0:59.1

this series will meet you in the sweetest way as we experience this natural shift and transition.

Well, I'm happy to say that I wrote this podcast while sitting in my new screen in porch that I

1:10.6

told you about last episode. Yes, that's right. We're finally able to use the space that we've been

1:16.5

working so hard to create. I mean, we didn't work so hard to create this screen in porch, but you

1:22.7

know, I told you all the other things we were doing around the carpenters that were out there,

1:27.3

making it happen. But to get to break in that new space, I was so privileged to get to host

1:32.6

a group of friends this past week to celebrate a milestone birthday for our friend, Ms. Shelly,

1:37.9

who I mentioned last week, and who I have had as a guest on this podcast. We had talked about

1:43.6

maybe getting away with the group of her friends. But once we started talking about who she would

1:48.6

invite, we realized that those she's from Texas, she actually has such a solid group of friends

1:54.4

here in the national area that she not only wanted to spend time with, but she wanted many of those

1:59.5

friends to get to meet each other. We had a few of her friends actually fly in or drive in from

2:04.8

out of town. And that was fun because keepers branch got to turn into an Airbnb for a couple of

2:10.4

nights. And we had just what felt like a retreat away together here. We brought in food for all the
