I'm your host, Gibson Johns, and today on the show we're breaking down part one of the

Summer House reunion, because I know that people just can't wait until Friday.

To help me get into all of it are Claire Parker and Ashley Hamilton.

They co-host the podcast Good Noticings,

which is formerly known as Celebrity Memoir Book Club. I invited them onto the show because I noticed

that they often share pretty bold, unapologetic, big swing takes about all things pop culture,

but specifically about Summer House lately, some of which I've agreed with and some of which I

haven't.

But I think that sometimes in this era where nuance oftentimes gets lost and people are afraid to say what they really think about something because it might be slightly different than the

prevailing sentiment online, I think it's good to hear from people who go against that.

So in our chat about part one of the reunion, you might hear some unexpected takes from them. And don't worry, they aren't like Team West and Amanda or anything. But again, there's a lot of nuance to be had here. And again, they love big swing takes and that's what they did in our chat. And again, some of which I agree with, some of which I don't. And they're incredibly smart and passionate and we had a great long chat about part one, which could have gone on for hours. There's so much to get into from that one part. It was jam-packed. It was already oversized as an episode, but then they also made it longer in the Peacock uncensored version, which I highly recommend going to watch. So I think we talk about most things. I think there's some things we don't

directly touch on. Like I think the Mia segment we don't really get into because there's not that

much to say about it other than the fact that like she is such a fucking fantastic addition to

the show and her openness should be so commended and she's just such a fantastic friend to Sierra.

But we don't really fully get into her segment,

but I think we touch on most other things.

And by the way, I did watch part one of this reunion at a literal AMC movie theater on Tuesday night.

Bravo invited me to their ticketed event where they sold out three screens at the AMC on 19th and Broadway here in New York.

And it was honestly pretty epic watching

it on a big screen surrounded by my people, aka Bravo fans. Like we were cheering and booing and

clapping and crying during some of the more emotional scenes. It was just such a treat. And like,
