Today, a closer look at our studio, Studio 8G, and how, as the home to over 70 years

of television, this studio's storied past still seems to echo into the present. A chill

up the back of a cameraman's neck. A rattle in the ear of our band leader. When the

show ends, what is it exactly that goes bump into Late Night? It's Friday, May 31, 2019.

After Late Night finishes taping in Studio 8G and the crew leaves for the night, the halls

become quiet, eerie, abandoned.

Hi, Fred. Except for all of the security guards. If anyone has seen ghosts of 8G past,

surely it would be them.

Oh, hey, Jim. I have a question for you. Have you ever seen any spirits in these halls?

Yeah, the barcots right over there. But I'm pretty sure I set this polish it off if you

know what I mean.

I note to the audience here that Jim is making a drinky, drinking motion by tipping his thumb

into his mouth. No, Jim, I mean like ghost spirits. Ghost? The only ghost around here

are comedy careers.
