Let's turn over to 2 Timothy chapter 2. I've been talking about discipleship. And I know that this

probably isn't one of those messages that gets everybody

shouting and screaming, but it's good for you. This is like your vegetables. May not like it as

much as dessert, but boy, it'll help you. Amen. So we've been talking about discipleship.

And man, last night, the things that Jesus said, you cannot be my disciple if you don't

have a relative hatred for yourself and for every other relationship, for your own desires

and everything. You have to count the cost. You cannot

be as a disciple if you don't do that. That was a strong word. But I tell you, it is so liberating.

When you just figure out that there's only one God, you are not Him. And so if God tells you

to do something, end a discussion. And you just do it.

It is so liberating. It takes all the pressure off of you. You don't have to get God to do anything.

You don't twist his arm. It's like John was giving testimony. He was going to get up and minister,

but God just took over and all,

he just let it happen. That's a great way to live. And I tell you, it's, it's by far the best.

You get the best results. So anyway, this is what we've been talking about. Second Timothy chapter two in verse one. It says, thou therefore, my son son be strong in the grace that is in Christ

Jesus this is Paul writing to Timothy who he said was his son in the faith he had no man like-minded

who would naturally care for the people the way that he did and so here he is a father talking to his

son be strong in the grace that is in Christ

Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou
