all about summer eating and drinking. So fair warning, this episode

will probably make you hungry and thirsty. To start, let's get right into it. First,

I'd love to go down memory lane with you. What are some of the summer food or drinks that

bring back nostalgic memories of childhood summers? Oh man. Okay, number one, this is very specific, but I think children of the 80s and 90s will relate.

I remember my mom in the summer specifically, probably because she just wanted us all out of the

house, making it seem like it was a fun thing, but really it was like, no, I don't want you

in the house for any reason.

Bringing us a tray of like whole bunch of stuff on a plate, like kid, charcutory, you know,

rolled up baloney with a toothpick in it.

And Kool-Aid in like a very specific Tupperware pitcher that probably everybody had.

Like, no, you have no excuse to come in the house.

You're hydrated.

You're fed. Stay so i just specifically remember that thinking it was like such a big treat to eat that on our front porch

in the summertime i love that genius mom move yes um dairy queen in the in the way back of the station wagon

oh yes we would just pile all all four of us into the, you know, on a random Wednesday night,

probably when my mom had had enough.

Was it the facing backwards?

We didn't, you know, we did not have the cool like rambler seat in the back.

My friend Laura had one of those.
