Hello everyone and welcome to police off the cuff for real crime stories. I'm your host,

retired NYPD Sergeant Bill Cannon, a 27-year veteran of the NYPD.

You know, folks, this Sarah Boone case, as we all know, Friday started the trial, put a little

thumbnail up on the screen. And it's been known to, it's called obviously the suitcase murder because as we all know,

Sarah Boone somehow playing hide and seek with her boyfriend, George Torres or Jorge Torres,

somehow got him inside that suitcase.

Maybe he went in voluntarily.

Maybe she helped him get into the suitcase. But he's a man of five foot one-ish tall, a hundred and five pounds. Not too easy, not so hard to manipulate, I should say, a person that's small that's also intoxicated.

But what was the point of that?

And we're going to hear a lot of things from the trial about intoxication.

We're going to hear things about that their life was centered around alcohol and centered around drinking.

But does that really give any excuses to Sarah Boone?

And we'll find out.

We got attorney Mike Gehry on tonight.

We'll run that by him also, although I could answer that too.

I don't think you have to be an attorney to answer that,

but he can answer it much smoother and much more detailed than I can.

But, you know, disturbing things about this case,

and it's almost, if it wasn't so tragic,

it would almost be amusing, but it's almost if it wasn't so tragic, it would almost be amusing.

But it's not amusing because someone lost their life.

And the sad circumstances behind it
