Summary

It’s Hollywood Baby! Hollywood has allure and magic but it also has a dark side. This episode covers how the sausage gets made. Scarlet Johansson sues Disney over her contract regarding the distribution of Black Widow. She is arguing that her contract was based on a wide theatrical release like other Marvel movies, what Disney did was release the movie in Theaters and on Disney+ Streaming the same day, without renegotiating the contract. Bam Margera is suing Paramount and Jackass co-star Johnny Knoxville over a wellness agreement that he argues he was forced to sign. The wellness agreement includes very specific provisions regarding Bam’s continued sobriety. The thing about contracts is that they should be enforced.

0:09.6	of Black Widow. It's a really interesting lawsuit and I have some very strong opinions about it,
0:16.1	particularly because of the way Disney responded. And you know that I'm a Disney fan. I
0:21.6	I go to theme parks. I love a Disney cruise. I love the Marvel comic universe. I
0:29.3	I love I love Disney. I do not love their response to this suit. And truthfully, I'm glad that
0:35.7	scarlet Joe Hanson is like, no, and calling it out. I'm it signals a lot of things and we've
0:41.0	talked about the changing movie industry before, particularly because of COVID. So it's going to be
0:45.3	really interesting to talk about the play between COVID movies, movie theaters and where we're going
0:53.4	next because that's all tied into this suit. And then we've got a bit of a blast from the past
0:59.4	for anyone who's around my age. And Bam Marjara is suing MTV at all over the next Jackass movie.
1:07.4	Yes, there's another Jackass movie coming. And the reason I wanted to talk about this today is
1:13.2	not only because it has to do with somebody suing Hollywood because he's suing
1:18.4	Paramount and others. But because a there's a lot tied into this with the showrunner. There's a
1:25.8	restraining order. There's a lot of information on that end of it. And we can see kind of the crumpling
1:32.7	of this business relationship, which is something I talk about frequently on YouTube in other cases.
1:37.6	But also because there's this wellness contract that Bam is arguing he was forced to sign under
1:45.5	duress. And it ties into some of the things and some of the hoops Britney Spears has had to jump
1:51.8	through in her own conservatorship. And some of the things I suspect might have been going on
1:56.4	when she signed her contract for her tours and shows in Nevada. So our Vegas, I don't know,
2:03.4	we've been talking about Nevada lawsuits a lot. No, that's Vegas. I can just say Vegas for that
2:07.4	one. So we're going to be talking about how these types of wellness clauses play into entertainment
