Hello everybody and welcome back to another episode of NerdSoup, I am Boilever, join here

today with Aaron, the NerdSoup Monkey, and we are back to review Succession, Season 4,

Episode 9, Church and State.

Directed by Mark Mylad and written by Jesse Armstrong, the pen-ultimate episode for not

just the season, but the entire series as a whole, we only have one more after this,

and I thought that this was as good as it could get for your second to last episode,

it perfectly sets the stage for the series finale, and it also did a good job of continuing

with the storylines from Episode 8, where it felt like Roman was on top, Mankin wins

the election, they're going to be able to keep ATN, and the positions of Kendall and

Shiv were a bit more unclear, but now, in Episode 9, we see what happens with Roman,

with Kendall, with Shiv.

The show was always going to be about their battle for Succession, stepping into those

shoes of Logan Roy, and all the politicking and all the maneuvering at Logan's funeral

did not disappoint one of the best episodes of the season, at this point I sound like

a broken record, but these guys just keep getting better.

It's like every week we come on, actually, what I think, and just like the same answer

every week, and that it's just another terrific episode.

I love how they make the most boring things in real life, some of the most entertaining

things, like funerals, weddings, or just boring.

The show somehow makes them the most entertaining thing, I was literally at the edge of my

seat my whole time, my heart racing, because you just didn't know what was going to happen.
