Welcome to Rules for Retrogrades. I'm your host Timothy J. Gordon, and this is my YouTube channel.

A little bit about myself. I went to both law school and graduate school, corresponding with the two

purposes of the show that I'm going to explain for you a little bit. I have two areas of expertise.

I went to law school not to practice law, but to study the constitution at the best

law school I could find to make a serious dive into constitutional studies, and I did so.

Also, I have a master's degree and a licentiate in Aristotomist philosophy, and I'm working on a doctorate in Aristotomist philosophy.

The reason I didn't get the doctorate and I went to law school instead was because my daughter

was born there in Rome where I was studying at the Gregorian Pontifical University, the first

Jesuit school in the world under one of the world's most famous Tomas. Came back here, went to law school, did a bunch of other things like start this podcast,

and now I'm finishing the doctorate that I hoped to complete in Rome. You'll see how this

plays out in the two purposes of this show. Catholic perspective brought to the secular world and a faithful

tomistic perspective reintroduced into the church. I have six kids. I have a lovely wife,

Steph, who many people who watch this program already know, and I am here for the fight. Welcome also to

my newer subscribers. Lots of you have been with me for

for two to three years. I'd like to tell you a little bit about what we do here on Rules

for Retrogrades. The show is for conservative Catholics. The show is for bold yet obedient Catholics.

And what it offers is a traditional perspective.

A show of analysis that is in the world but not of the world,

partly of secular culture and politics and partly of the church's culture and politics.

There aren't any other shows out there on the internet that
