We approach their flawed and demonic reason, we approach their lofty pride which is exalted

against the knowledge of God, we approach all the systems of men and we can tear them all down and we do it with

weapons that are spiritual.

Citizens of an eternal heavenly kingdom,

but while we wait eagerly for our glorious future,

we're called to be active in this world, to be witnesses for Christ in our

neighborhoods and in our nations. The question is how do you do that? Live like a

citizen of God's kingdom and still obey your political leaders, particularly when they reject biblical principles.

Let me encourage you to open your Bible, if you will, to 1st Peter chapter 2. 1st Peter

chapter 2 and I want us to look together at verses 13 through 17 1st Peter 2. 13 through 17.

Peter writes,

submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every human institution.

Whether to a king is the one in authority or to governors

is sent by him for the punishment of evil-doers and the praise of those who do right,

for such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men.

Act as free men and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bond slaves of God.

Honor all men.

Love the Brotherhood.

Fear God.
