This weekend, the country's defense ministry said the highest ranking general in the

People's Liberation Army was under investigation for, quote, grave violations of discipline and the law.

The 75-year-old general, Zhang Yoh Shah, is a combat veteran and was seen as a close ally of Chinese

leader Xi Jinping. According to the Wall Street Journal, he's being accused of leaking

nuclear secrets to the United States. Sean Chanmei studies China's armed forces that the research
