According to a newly published peer review study, it appears that the people who have received

the most recent formulation of the bivalent COVID booster, they are more likely to get

COVID.

Meaning, that these researchers found that when you compare the population of unvaccinated

people, compared to those who received the latest booster shot, well, the people in

this category, the boosted people are more likely to catch COVID.

Let's go through the study together.

To start with, this study was looking at the effects of the COVID booster shot within

California's prison system.

It's a relatively good population to study, given the fact that for one, they're easy

to track, and second of all, their lives are all pretty standardized, without much variability

from person to person.

Also, it's a fairly large population.

Given the fact that these researchers, they were analyzing data from 33 different prisons

across the state, totaling over 96,000 inmates in total who had on file the necessary data

on their COVID tests as well as their vaccination status.

And after crunching the numbers, these researchers found that the prisoners who received the

latest formulation of the COVID vaccine booster, they as a group were more likely to get COVID,

especially when you compare them to people who never received any vaccine at all, the unvaccinated

group.

Particularly, out of the 96,201 inmates, the researchers identified 2,835 cases of COVID.
