We've been studying Hebrews, and in a way, Hebrews is one man's very, very detailed way of describing

the relationship between God and humanity.

Hebrews starts out by talking about the superiority of Christ over the prophets, the sovereignty

of Christ.

He's higher than the angels.

It talks about his superiority over Moses and the revealing of the law.

It talks about the superiority of his work, his priesthood, the covenant,

the sanctuary that he represents, that once was a sanctuary on planet earth, the tabernacle

and the temple, but which now is the tabernacle and the temple,

but which now is the tabernacle and the temple in heaven.

And then we have come to the point now

where we're talking about the walk of faith

and the superiority of the walk of faith.

Today in the world, everything is measured by doing good.

That is your own appreciation of what good is then taken into your life and your lifestyle

and used as a measure of your own worth.

And you pretty much assess yourself and say, well, I'm doing as much good as Joe over here

who lives down the street. I'm certainly doing as much good as so-and-so. And I, in reviewing my life, I think I'm doing
