Revelation 13, and we've been in Revelation 13 now for a while.

Revelation 13 is all about Gentile world power.

And so today we're going to talk about the Jews and the Gentiles.

From the biblical perspective. Chapter 13, how many times

we read this now, verse 1, and I stood on the sand of the sea, and I saw a beast rise up out

of the sea having seven heads and ten horns, and upon the horns, ten crowns, and upon his

heads the name of blasphemy.

This beast is the ultimate focus of Gentile world power.

This beast is the picture of something that's been coming together for millennia,

and we are seeing it come together today.

It has several aspects. It has a financial aspect. It has a spiritual aspect. The spiritual aspect comes under many headings. The world beast,

for example, teaches a particular kind of devotion to planet Earth. It is earth worship.

And as such, it's the same worship that was once very popular under the Babylonians, the Persians, the Greeks, the Romans. They all

worshipped the Earth. They worshipped, for example, Diana. The Romans worshipped Diana in Greece.

She was called Artemis. She was the nature goddess.

They worshipped Athena, the municipal goddess of Athens, the virgin goddess who watched over the city

and watched over the environment of the city and blessed the crops and blessed the animal herds
