And now, here's Gary.

The three basic premises of the tribulation are, number one,

that it brings to an end wickedness and wicked people

who are in control of the earth.

Number two, it brings about a worldwide revival,

which is kind of a shock if you haven't thought about it.

Sometimes we pray for revival,

and we remember the big revivals of the late 19th and early 20th

centuries, and we don't see those anymore, not in the way that they used to happen when literally

hundreds of thousands of people came to Christ all over the world.

But there will be another time like that, except greater. During the tribulation there will be another time like that except greater.

During the tribulation there will be a worldwide revival.

Cause number three of the tribulation is to break the power of the holy people, as Daniel puts it.

The breaking of the power of the people means that their confidence, their self-confidence, will be broken down. In Hebrew there is a word

batach, which means to have confidence in yourself, but it's really a false sense of security.

It's a sense that everything is okay just before the piano drops out of the third-story window.

The motto in the world today, peace and safety, that's the motto. Everybody is saying safety, safety, safety,

everybody is saying, oh, we're headed toward world peace. We're not. And so the breaking of the power

of the holy people is the third cause, and we talked about all these last week.
