Well, last week we looked at the fig tree as Israel.

Luke 21, 29, and he spake to them a parable.

Behold the fig tree and all the trees.

Now, the fig tree is Israel.

All the trees are the other nations.

And we commented last week that at the time Israel was born, May 14th, 1948, there were about 99 nations. And we commented last week that at the time Israel was born, May 14th,

1948, there were about 99 nations in the world. Today there are about 195. And the prophecy

of Luke, I think, speaks to that. He said, when you see the fig tree and all the trees,

when they now shoot forth, you see and know of your own

cells that summer is now nigh at hand. Well, summer is cold language in the Bible. When you see

latter rain or summer in the Bible, or when you see latter rain and summer mentioned together,

you know you're talking about the time of harvest,

and metaphorically the time of harvest is the time of the latter days.

And so Luke says, quoting Jesus, when they now shoot forth, you see and know of your own selves,

that summer is now nigh at hand.

So likewise, when you see all these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God now nigh at hand. So, likewise, when you see all these things come to

pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. When he says the kingdom of God, he is not

talking about the church at all. He's talking about Israel. When you see the term gospel of the kingdom
