There is a time coming called the Day of the Lord.

The transliteration of that from the Old Testament is Day of Jehovah.

God manifests himself in a number of different ways.

He is Elohim.

He is the Father.

He's the Son, the Holy Spirit, and he's a lot of other things too.

He is the one who leads Israel into battle, Jehovah Nisi, for example.

He is the one who sanctifies Israel, Jehovah Rafat.

He has a lot of Jehovah names.

And when we read Jehovah, the Yut He Vavhe of Scripture, the four letters of his name,

we're talking about God as he stooped

down and touches the earth concerning His people Israel. Jehovah is the God specifically concerned

with Israel. And so the day of the Lord or the Day of Jehovah is a profoundly negative term.

It's never used to describe any blessing or any goodness.

And as we shall see, it's never used to describe the kingdom of God, the millennial kingdom.

It's always used to describe the time of Jacob's trouble, the 70th week.

It's called Jehovah's Strange Work, which I think is one of the better titles for the Day

of the Lord. And it's called that because it's not natural for God to act as a fiery, judgmental God.

He, throughout Scripture, says that he would rather not do what he has to do.

And he continually appeals to his people and saying,
