We're going to talk about the credibility of the Antichrist this morning.

The Bible says that at a certain point he has great credibility.

That is what he says is generally believed by everyone who hears him.

Now we've been speaking of the time period prior to the seven-year tribulation,

which is kicked off by the Antichrist's signing of the covenant. And we've looked at Joel,

the prophet, and Joel talked about how the sun and the moon would be darkened before the day

of the Lord. And we're going to investigate that prophecy

further this morning. We've looked at Micah, who sees the good man disappear from the earth.

Zephaniah, who talks about the days before the tribulation. And Zephaniah's word concerning

that time, we've looked at Zechariah. We looked at a lot of the minor prophets.

Malachi says that Elijah is coming before the day of the Lord.

So we're trying to develop a picture of what it looks like, according to the Bible, in the years prior to the tribulation.

And during this however many year period it is, I believe the

rapture has to be a minimum of three and a half years before the tribulation, and could be a

maximum of ten or more years. The longer I study this, the more I believe that a long period of time elapses between

the rapture of the church and the coming of the Antichrist. How does he make a name for himself?

Let's look at John chapter 5 and look at the whole idea of a name. John chapter 5 starts when Jesus is in Jerusalem at the pool of Bethesda.

We've all read this story a dozen times. A man who had for 38 years laying at the pool of Bethesda

waiting to be healed. He believed, as did many of the Jews, that those

were healing waters and that there was an angelic presence there that could heal him. And Jesus
