We teach you four rules to help you stop paycheck to paycheck, get out of debt and save

more money. We don't tell people to get out of debt, but when your money starts lining

up and you're really clear on what you want your money to do, it's interesting how that

clarity on your wants crowds out a lot of other obligations or habits places where the money went.

There's one that's particularly messy and emotional and heavy and it's student loans and we actually

did a survey of Wine Ebers and asked specifically how has this student loan freeze and to be totally

frank and shoot straight here. I don't know all of the details of the student loan freeze. We have,

members of our team that know far more like Rachel that wrote this blog post, she knows

basically everything about him, but I did want to share a couple findings and one that I think

is a takeaway for all of us. Now I will admit out of the gate, I don't even know how people are

supposed to think about this. It's the emotional space that people, well they mention in the survey,

they say things like I feel bad, I feel like I took out this debt, I should pay it off and others

are like throw me a bone here, at least don't put interest on the interest and then other people

like I had no idea what I was doing when I was 18 and here I am 15 years later stuck with this and

I mean that's like I'm even just giving a few of those examples, it just betrays the complexity

of the emotional spectrum on which student loans basically operate. But I'll say this,

I think once they're gone, that'd be a good thing. Pretty clear on that, well here's what's

interesting, from the survey and this is why we budget people, this is why we budget because we don't

know what'll happen here, we don't know if the freezer will be extended or if it'll, if things

will start to thaw, are we saying thaw with this, is that a thing? But we do know this,

you are really careful about how you use your money and you're really intentional about it

...
