4 Reasons We Struggle with Prayer

Sin - if we haven’t repented of our sins, it will be difficult to pray.
The devil - the enemy knows how important prayer is for the faithful and he will do everything he can to get you to not pray.
Humility - God may be trying to humble us.
God wants to draw out our desire for him.

Tips for Prayer

Focus on the very beginning of prayer to set the tone.
Say God’s name with reverence when you make the Sign of the Cross.
Set an intention for your prayer time.
Offer the prayer time up to God.

0:28.1	we may take time to pray, and yet it doesn't always go that well.

0:36.6	You know, we show up for our prayer time, whether it's in a chapel or maybe we're praying
0:40.6	at home and our mind wanders we get distracted we're racing from
0:44.0	one thing to another in our head and sometimes we may be praying and we're just
0:47.9	really restless we're agitated we wish we were anywhere else but right now in prayer.
0:53.0	We know what prayer is good and it's important.
0:55.0	We kind of feel badly that we feel this way,
0:58.0	but we just want to get out of there and move on to something
1:00.0	and get something done.
1:02.0	And I don't want us to sit there with God in
1:04.0	prayer and why is prayer so hard sometimes it could be really discouraging for us
1:09.3	as Christians we feel like we're not good at it and we wonder where is God? I don't feel close to him in prayer and I don't feel like I've accomplished much in this period time.
1:18.0	Should I even bother praying anymore? That's what I want to talk about in today's episode.
