for today. We're going to be looking at Proverbs chapter 31, verse 17 through 20.

for this episode as well. Okay, Proverbs 31, 17 through 20 is where we are this morning.

And we are looking at the character profile of what the writer calls an excellent wife.

And he's going through a lot of characteristics, a lot of things that this fictitious woman

does that he's made up as kind of a paragon of all the different characteristics that are

areas where a woman could excel. And he says in verse 17, she dresses herself with strength

and makes her arms strong. So there is a reality to a strong woman. We see that these days on

t-shirts and on different, different social media outlets, people talking about strong women,

being a strong woman. Well, there is a biblical precedent for that. But it's not necessarily the same

kind of strength that a man has. As the writer goes on here, he describes what it looks like.

He says she perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp does not go out at night.

She puts her hands to the distaff in her hands, hold the spindle. She opens her hand to the poor
