They say you are what you eat and if you were to look at various figures in history like sportsmen and athletes

There were a lot of names that had some weird diets for example let's take a look at babe Ruth

The great bambino's baseball skills weren't the only claim to fame he had.

He actually had a pretty wild diet and one that could actually be kind of dangerous.

It would turn out that he would start off his

morning with a pint of whiskey mixed with ginger ale and then steak four eggs

fried potatoes and a pot of coffee. That was just breakfast.

For an afternoon snack,

and I'm literally meaning a snack,

he would have four hot dogs washed down

with a Coca-Cola,

and then he would have an early supper

and a late supper, and it sounds a lot like the basically people from the Shire who would have early breakfast and second breakfast.

And so what that would be would be the exact same thing. He'd have two Porterhouse steaks, two heads of lettuce.

Now you're thinking, oh hey, fiber, but it was actually drenched with blue cheese dressing,

and then of course two plate bowls of actually fried potatoes and then two apple pies and

between these two things he even had four more hot dogs and four more

Coca-Cola's. He had such a penchant for hot dogs He liked them so much that one time he ate a dozen of them and had to be taken to the hospital for the treatment of an intestinal abscess.

That's right, you can actually eat things that can get you sick.

And as a gastrointestinal, I know this to be true and as a

health care provider you know this to be true. And so Bathe Roots diet was kind of concerning,

but did you know you can also eat things that can cause pharyngitis?
