Summary

Savage delivers a "stream of consciousness" talk, saying he turns from suffocating political "hysterical realism" to literature, music, and free association. He compares the poetic style of Isaiah to the technique he brought to radio in 1994, criticizing today's one-dimensional political commentators. He then praises Trump's "borders, language, culture" message and calls for stronger force to clean up cities. He shares about his movie cameo with Jon Voight, and ends on a faith-themed line: God can change fate "in the blink of an eye."

Here he is, Michael Savage.

0:18.7

And welcome to the Savage Nation. I'm the nation. I'm Michael. And it's the passage of time that leads me to want to

0:29.3

discuss stream of consciousness from Isaiah to Michael Savage. Now hold on. I understand that there have been

0:36.0

people along the way between Isaiah and myself

0:38.9

who have used the technique of stream of consciousness.

0:43.9

And I can throw out some names for you to digest if you study literature or I know that it's

0:49.9

like a foreign word to most people who are into politics.

0:53.7

But to me, the hysterical realism

0:56.6

of political commentary leads me to want to talk about literature today on this little broadcast.

1:05.6

No, no, I know I've done politics and I still do politics all the time, but the hysterical realism, as I said before,

1:13.8

is so overwhelmingly suffocating that I have to turn to literature or film or or music to survive

1:25.0

the utter boredom of listening to people talking about politics.

1:32.3

Because no matter what I have done, and I've written 29 or 30 books, and I've shaped things

1:39.3

to a certain extent, I was very instrumental in Donald Trump's rise to power, and I'm proud of that.

1:45.3

And his entire platform of borders, language, and culture has been turned into the MAGA

1:49.5

movement, which is just great.

1:51.3

But I really didn't create the concept of nationalism.

1:56.5

I just captured the imagination of the public by summarizing the whole concept of nationalism in three words, borders, language, and culture.

2:06.3

But again, I don't want to bore you with the hysterical realism of politics anymore than I'm bored by it myself.

2:13.8

So what is stream of consciousness and why am I doing this?

2:34.9

It's a literary exercise. It's for fun. It's to relax. I hear God talking to me all the time when I'm about to do something lately as about I'm about to take a step. I feel God saying to me, well, God or conscience, whatever you want to call it, a voice, a still small voice, however it's put. And the voice says, is this really important? And the answer is, of
