When it comes to fasting, and I have released a lot of videos, so I'm going to try not to repeat most of the stuff that you have heard already.

And just to kind of mention, you already saw the video in the introduction about my experience of the fast and the service that I preached

but I kind of mentioned about fasting. If you are just tuning in, you probably have heard

at least one or two videos about fasting. And so I'm going to not repeat that, but give you also

something fresh and something that could bring a blessing into your life. Let's start from the beginning.

We are saved for good works, not by good works.

The Bible says in Ephesians, for by grace you have been saved through faith.

And that is not of yourself, but that is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

That tells us that good works do not save us, but we are saved for good works.

Fasting is one of those good works. Prayer is one of those good works. Again, we're not saved by

fasting. We are not more righteous by fasting, but we are created for good works.

Is there a command in the Bible for fasting?

We don't see a clear command or an instruction to fast every day or every week or every single year.

In the Old Testament, there was a command to fast one time a year on the Day of Atonement,
