You guys, I am so used to at this point seeing movies revolving around action, just like

dominating the box office and the cultural conversation, that it was really startling for me

to watch this week's movies to just kind of step back and watch two films that are just

about people talking to each other, not like working out their issues via big dramatic fights,

as in our last several pairings, not navigating massive political or cultural conflicts,

just kind of talking to each other. Frankly, the past decade plus has been so centered on

violent disagreement and taking sides and turning every aspect of societal interaction into a high-stakes conflict,

that I literally kind of forgotten that people just talk to strangers and enjoy that sometimes.

I hate it.

I just kind of like yelling at people.
