The Shot.

August 6th, 2013 was a nice summer night in the small Scranton area borough of Simpson, Pennsylvania.

The 49-year-old Melissa Rakuba, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother,

that returned home that evening from dinner with her husband Bruno.

They'd been married nearly 25 years, raising two daughters together, so they were living

the dream and life was good.

But what happened after they walked through the front door that night would leave this

family shattered and start a mystery that would linger for nearly a decade.
