0:39.7	So I'm a career-long cancer epidemiologist.
0:43.7	After medical school, I went and got a PhD in mathematical modeling of infectious epidemics.
0:50.4	And you'd think that would have some relationship to the pandemic, which actually it does.
0:53.9	Yeah.
0:54.2	But then I did a postdoc in epidemiology at the University of Washington and began a career in studying
1:02.6	cancer etiology by epidemiologic means doing studies to do that.
1:08.0	And eventually, along the way, I got onto an elected member of the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering.
1:15.9	And when the pandemic happened, the committee struck up, the academy struck up a committee to guide, to help guide the governor in relaxing the lockdown in Connecticut.
