I want this to be an ode to sports dads who took it on the chin this week and faced a lot of

criticism.

But I think all these sports dads were trying their best and were like a lot of sports dads out there.

So here's my journey to becoming a sports dad.

You might think you had a kid.

You became a dad. The kids started playing sports and then you become a sports dad. You might think you had a kid. You became a dad. The kids started playing sports and then you become a sports dad. That is certainly a path. However, the journey to a sports

dad, you have to kind of shed your skin like a snake of being a sports player yourself.

So this is exactly when it happened to me.

And I remember specifically when it happened to me.

Kevin Durant wins the MVP.

And he looks at his mom and he says, you're the real MVP.

And they cut to his mom and his mom's weeping.

Kevin Durant is weeping.

And at that moment, I thought that must feel amazing to have your son win MVP.

My kids were very little at the time.

Prior to that moment, I would always think, wow, it must be amazing to win MVP.

Because I think you come up your whole life emulating athletes.

No matter what, you're sticking your tongue out when you're on a Nerf hoop trying to look like Michael Jordan.

You know what I tried to do for a little bit a little while?

I try to move my bat like Gary Sheffield moves bat like crazy.
