Hey everyone, if you're listening in real time, today is the day after Thanksgiving.

And that means two things.

Number one, you're probably still full from yesterday.

And number two, the Christmas season is officially upon us.

The radio stations have switched to their all-Christmas formats.

Christmas specials are appearing on TV,

and you're probably revisiting some of your favorite Christmas stories in one form or another.

Me, I have a large collection of Christmas stories on vinyl record,

and I'll be curling up with some of them along with a mug of cocoa and a candy cane

in the coming chilly evenings.

But the great thing about each passing season is the

chance to discover something new that may go on to become a new favorite. And that old and

largely forgotten tradition of Christmas ghost stories is fertile ground for anyone digging for a

spooky festive treat from a bygone time. We love our Christmas stories here on Christmas past. I've read several

of them to you before, and today I'll bring another. It's The Doll's Ghost, which sounds

super creepy right off the bat. It's an 1896 story from F. Marion Crawford. I think you'll enjoy it,

but I think I'm going to enjoy it more. And that's because

I'm going to read it to you from a new and beautifully designed edition. My friends at Biblio Oasis

were kind enough to send me copies from the 2021 edition of Seth's Christmas Ghost Stories.

For the past several seasons now, the cartoonist, known only as Seth, has been reviving this

spooky old tradition with illustrated editions of these stories from the past.
