Welcome to another installment of Christmas in quarantine, its Christmas Past's impromptu miniseries of indeterminate length.

Today is day 14 of these daily episodes, and we'll keep them going until things are looking better on the COVID-19 crisis.

Today we are returning to the world of classic Christmas stories.

And just like the last story that I shared, this one is going out by special request.

As a matter of fact, a couple of people requested this story, including Michael in Illinois,

and Michael wants to say hi.

Hello, fellow Christmas past listeners.

My name is Michael, and I'm from Arlington Heights, Illinois.

I absolutely love hearing about the origins of different Christmas traditions, along with old-time

stories.

I live with my wife and two boys, four and six.

My wife, thankfully, is able to work from home. Without school or daycare,

it has fallen upon myself to care for our kids. I'm trying to make the best of it with

homeschooling, but it's a very, very difficult task. We only have gone through about one full week

now, and I feel as though it's been months. We are practicing social distancing,

and I hope everyone else is taking it seriously. Thanks very much. I'd love to share your message
