So, what's new and different in your life? By the time this episode arrives, we'll be just a couple of days after St. Patrick's Day, and things are looking and feeling just a little bit different around here, as I'm sure they are for you, too. Here in sunny San Mateo, California, we're part of a county that's been issued a shelter-in-place ordinance,

meaning that people shouldn't leave their houses unless it's for absolutely essential activities,

like getting food or going to the doctor.

Now, as with all things, this too shall pass, but for the next few months, life's going to be a little bit different.

First and foremost, I hope that you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy and

following all of the sensible guidelines for reducing the spread of the coronavirus.

We're all in this together, and we need to rely on one another to help protect the most

vulnerable among us and to make sure that this passes as quickly as it possibly can.

Now before we move on to the episode, there's a bit of housekeeping.

Since January of 2020, Christmas past is now year-round.

I'll be releasing episodes at least every month all the way up until the Christmas season,

and that's when we'll get back into the back stories behind your favorite Christmas

traditions, just like always.

Now, there's a bit of a change of programming to announce.

Since January, I've been presenting the Christmas Around the World series from Chantelle Joy,

of All Things Christmas, at the beginning of each month.

I'm sorry to say that that series is put on indefinite hold.

Maybe it'll come back at some future time, but we're just not sure yet.

In the meantime, I'll continue to bring you Christmas stories, interviews, and anything

else I think will make your days a little more merry and bright.

Goodness knows we can use a little bit more of that right now, and people are just awesome.
