Today was a massive day of developments in the world of Trump legal.

Tonight we got the news that Trump's defense team has filed a response before the Supreme Court.

Remember, right now the federal election interference case is frozen

while the Supreme Court considers a request from Trump's lawyers to keep this

case on ice as they plan their next step. Yesterday the Special Counsel asked the High Court to unfreeze the case,

or barring that to agree to hear it right away,

basically to get things moving as soon as possible.

And tonight, Trump's legal team

filed its response to the special counsel's request.

whether the court decides to hear this case or not,

and on what timeline, could have a huge impact

on whether or not the federal election case

against Trump actually goes to trial
