So the courtroom is packed.

There are court officers who are walking up and down the aisles,

making sure no one even looks at a telephone.

On Tuesday morning, my colleague Devlin Barrett was one of many reporters crowded into a New York courtroom

waiting for the next witness to be called to the stand.

According to him, you could feel the anticipation in the air.

And so when she walks in, I think there is some sort of silent version of, well, there she is, here we go.

This witness in the hush money trial against former President Donald Trump is a person whose account is at the center of the

prosecution's case. Trials are a bit of a roller coaster and I think for a

witness like Stormy Daniels you know you're about to go on one of the wilder parts of the roller coaster even before she starts talking.

Stormy Daniels is the adult film actress whose real name is Stephanie Clifford.
