Born in Persia in a town called Isfahan, Salman was raised in a wealthy Zoroastrian household.

His father loved him deeply, so much so that he kept him locked away in the temple to protect him

and raise him to become a fire-worshipping priest. But deep inside, Salman was restless.

One day on the road he heard Christian monks praying. He was drawn to them not by wealth, not by force, but by something in their hearts.

He told his father, their religion is better than ours.

His father chained his feet to stop him.

But you cannot chain a heart that seeks the truth.

Salman escaped.

And from that day forward, he would spend decades of his life

wandering from land to land, country to country,

learning from righteous Christian scholars

only to be told by each one, there is no more good left in this religion
