Good morning. I'm Ali Valshi. It is Sunday, March 13th. It is day 18 of Russia's war against Ukraine.

It's 8 a.m. Eastern, 1 p.m. here in Zahaan, Hungary, on the border with Ukraine from where I've been reporting this weekend.

Though it feels like there are no weekends, no letup for the more than 246,000 Ukrainian refugees

who have fled here to Hungary out of the nearly 2.7 million refugees in total.

What you are watching now is more arrivals.

Another train has just come in from Ukraine.

It has come in from the town of CHOP, which is just over the border, where they go through border

formalities, and then they come here. They are received by volunteers, and they're coming off the

trains very slowly because they are now being greeted at the train by police who are

helping them get off the train and are determining what help they need. They then come across here.

You'll slowly see people coming across. Everybody who comes across is greeted by a volunteer

in a red vest or a green vest or an orange vest. These are typically church groups that are greeting

these people. They've got food. They help them with their bags. They help are greeting these people. They've got food.

They help them with their bags. They help them with their children. They've got medication.

They've got water. And then they are taken inside the train station if they need to go there to

determine what their next step is. There are animals coming out. There are little children you can

see coming out. and the police are literally

escorting everybody who needs help into this area where they're getting help. They generally

speaking don't stay here in Zahon. They go to other places because this is a small town. They

are on to Budapest, Vienna, Warsaw, or other places in Western Europe. This situation that we're

covering only stands to get worse with new news that we have. Breaking news on the warfront this
