The voice submitted by Jeff. When I was around 10, I lived with my grandparents.

The back of my grandmother's house was directly across the back of a church in its parking lot.

We had a gate door that gave us access to the parking lot. My

grandmother's yard was very nicely landscaped so she was very overprotective of

people coming into her yard. It was a late summer evening and I had come in from playing with my friends all day.

My grandmother asked me to go back out to lock the gate.

I was a scaredy cat when I was younger,

but for some reason I wasn't thinking about anything that night.

I went out back, locked the gate, and when I turned around I noticed that my shoe was untied.

So I bent over to tie it.

As I was tying my shoe, I heard a whispering voice say,

Hey little boy, do you want to play?

I thought it was my friend that lived a house away from me,

so I replied, be quiet, I have to go inside already. Then the voice whispered again, hey Jeff, do you want to play?

After I finished tying my shoe, I turned around and said, cut it out, I have to go inside, punk.

I looked into the darkness and I didn't see

anyone I immediately got chills and ran inside my house crying I told my grandmother

and my aunt they immediately went outside but didn't see anyone.

Needless to say whenever I had to do that again, I would make sure to lock the gate early.

Fast forward, 24 years later, my wife and I were moving from an apartment into a house and we were in between both places

Meaning I had to move most of our stuff, but the electricity hadn't been transferred over to the house yet

So I had to go to the house to get some things that we had already moved.
