I want to talk about the election result in Venezuela both because it is important in and of itself.

It is important strategically in terms of the interests of the United States, but it's also important because the same kinds of things

that the left is doing in Venezuela they are trying to do here.

And so there's a kind of direct applicability, a direct analogy between Venezuela and America.

This is a topic that, by the way, Debbie has been on top of and on to for at least a decade, if not more.

I think it's one of the first topics that the two of us talked about

when I first met Debbie in 2014.

Now, this stuff once a country's elections are taken over in this way it never ends well., I say never I mean almost never there are cases where very few cases where an authoritarian government rigs the election, there is a massive blowback,

and the government is in fact internally overthrown.

So the combination of internal pressure and an external pressure, a diplomatic pressure,

pressure, pressure coming from other countries basically saying we don't accept these election
