Summary

It's worse than nonsense. It's destructive. I think this is one of the most common bad ideas people have about God and religion. Let's thoughtfully analyze the idea that all roads lead to God and see why this incredibly common viewpoint couldn't possibly be true. Here's a list of other slogans we'll deal with today. "All roads lead to God" "How can you say that Jesus is the only way? How rude! How arrogant! How judgy!" "All religions teach basically the same thing." "All religions have a different piece of the truth." "I think that sincere people will be OK." "I just think that God knows our hearts and that good people will be OK." 0:10.0	All roads lead to God. It's like everyone believes this saying,
0:15.2	but almost none of them have bothered to actually stop
0:17.3	and think about the thing that they're believing
0:20.2	and risking their lives on.
0:23.0	So we're going to talk about this today because the phrase all roads lead to God
0:26.0	simultaneously represents one of the most common objections of Christianity
0:30.0	and one of the worst objections to biblical Christianity that I've heard.
0:35.0	I think that this phrase really holds sway in people's minds.
0:38.0	Christians often find it hard to respond to the phrase,
0:41.0	All Rose lead to God, or the subsequent other slogans that come out
0:44.2	right around the same time as you hear this one. And some Christians actually go so far
0:47.9	as to agree with it. They agree with the thing and I think that's ironic because they don't see that this is actually incompatible with a biblical Christian view with an understanding of who Jesus is.

1:01.6	It's one of the worst objections to Christianity though,
1:04.0	even though I consider it a powerful, in a sense of its pragmatic effectiveness to cause people to devalue the
