Let's look at Hagar.

Genesis 16, 8 and 9. Now you have to know a little bit of the background of the story, although I'm going to get into it more in detail later on, but Abram had a promise from God that he was going to have a child.

The only problem was Sarah and Abram were both way too old to have children.

And so, I mean, it was not humanly possible without a miracle and so they were tired of

waiting is anybody in this room tired of waiting well you see what happens then if you're not careful when you get tired of waiting is you

start coming up with a bright idea. Well God's not doing nothing so I know what I'll do. And boy that gets us in so

much trouble and so she gave Sarah said I know what I'll do I'll give Abram my

handmaid and as a secondary wife well I would think any woman would know better

than that just right off the bat. Now I know that that was a little more

something they did in that culture but I don't care what kind of culture you got.

There's no woman that wants to share her man with another woman.

I mean, that just is not working in any culture and so you'll see more about what

happened with all that later but but it ends up that Hagar who ended up having a child named him Ishmael which

means man of war. She ended up running from the whole situation because Sarah was mistreating her and he said the Hagar Sarah is made this is God

Where did you come from and where do you think you're going?

And she said, I am running away from my mistress Seri.

And the angel Lord said to her,

go back to your mistress and humbly submit to her control.

Well, somebody please tell me what even sounds remotely fair about that.
