31st that means the first is Saturday and I love how Adams first day was

love that we're starting the new year on well for Tory and I Sabbath so sorry if

I'm including you guys in that but I just someone I was just thinking about

anyways Tory and I are super excited to be devoting ourselves to Lord with

you daily as we ran out this year and we're gonna continue with our live on

purpose devotional love it let's do it you guys today we're in Jonah 1 verse

1 and 2 and it says the Lord spoke his word to Jonah son of a mentee get up go

to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it because I see the evil

things they do the devotional is titled the runaway when God puts a specific

call or purpose on our lives he doesn't force us to accept it we have some

choices about how we'll respond we could say here I am send me or we could be

like Jonah and run away Jonah very clearly heard the call of God go to Nineveh

and preach but Jonah didn't want to go to Nineveh so he jumped on a ship

headed in the opposite direction of course God didn't give up on Jonah he kept

repeating that call on Jonah's life and God was not letting Jonah off the hook

so much so that God sent a big fish to swallow him wild I know after three

days the fish spit him out and this time Jonah headed for Nineveh I probably

would too if I had just been swallowed by a fish some of us are like Jonah we've
