True prayer turns out doesn't make God our personal assistant, our genie in the bottle.

True prayer makes us worshipers. Stay with me. I'm going to show you seven ways that prayer is worship.

Number one, when we pray, we acknowledge God's existence. Think about this. Every prayer

declares that in the beginning, God, in the beginning of my thoughts, the beginning of my day,

the beginning of my words, it's God, not me, in the beginning, God. Prayer, by definition, dethrones me and sets up

the king. Number two, prayer bows to God's glory. We all chase some kind of glory. We chase

followers or likes, approval, the applause of an audience.

And prayer moves our eyes from our own spotlight to his throne.

Only God's glory actually satisfies the human heart.

Number three, prayer submits to God's plan.
