0:18.7	We're picking up with the new devotional in the Bible app titled Remain in Me. There's a link to that in the description for you
0:24.7	you guys want to follow along with us. As always I'm going to read the scripture
0:27.2	then Tori's gonna pick with the devo. Let's do it. The first scripture is
0:30.2	John chapter 15 verse 6 And it says this,
0:33.0	Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch in withers.
0:39.0	Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.
0:43.9	And the next scripture is Matthew chapter 5 verse 30.
0:47.3	And if your hand, even your stronger hand,
0:49.9	causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away.
0:52.9	It is better for you to lose one part of your body
0:55.8	than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
0:59.8	Shots fired.
1:00.4	Say it with your chest. The devotional is titled abide and it says this. What does the word
1:06.7	abide mean? To abide in something is to accept act in accordance with a decision, keep to, stand by, or continue to remain in something.
1:19.2	Jesus tells us in John 15.4 to remain in him.
1:23.4	Other translations say to abide in him.
1:26.7	When we invite the Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit of Christ,
1:30.8	to come into our lives, he takes up residents in our souls and abides in us.
