Hello and welcome to welcome back to Tregna's care. If you're new here, my name's Ashley,

0:05.7

and I upload every single Monday to give you the best big sister advice on all things, friendships,

0:09.8

relationships, mental health, navigating life, you name it, I talk about it or I probably talk

0:14.7

about it. Also, happy May. I can't believe we're already in May. I am kind of freaking out

0:20.4

just a little bit because I do get married this year. I get't believe we're already in May. I am kind of freaking out just a little bit because I do get

0:22.0

married this year. I get married in August and I definitely have been procrastinating, planning this

0:27.8

wedding, or maybe not procrastinating or maybe yeah, I don't know. I just thought I had much more time

0:34.1

than I actually do. Four or five months seems like a long time until you have to plan a

0:39.9

whole wedding and also not even plan a whole wedding, but also a bachelorette and a Jack and Jill

0:45.2

and a honeymoon. It's a lot, but I mean, good problems to have. I always find myself saying,

0:52.2

I can't believe it's already May. I can't believe it's the end of the year. I can't

0:55.7

believe it's the beginning of the year. Times moving so fast, which I'm sure so many of you do that as well.

1:01.3

And for me, that feeling typically stems from me being on autopilot and kind of just living my life

1:08.1

rather than enjoying it, particularly during the weekdays,

1:12.6

especially at my old job where I was working 8.30 to 3.30 or like 4 o'clock, I was constantly

1:19.7

counting down the days until the weekend because I was just so unhappy at my job. I'd go to this

1:25.4

job where it was really demanding, very overstimulating, and really

1:29.8

a burnout type of work where you're there all day, really fighting to keep it together, to then go

1:35.3

home, eat dinner, settle in for a couple hours, and then go to bed and do it all over again.

1:40.7

So during the week, I'd just kind of go on autopilot and either feel numb or feel

1:46.1

depressed. I really was just letting my life pass me by, waiting for two days out of the week to come,

1:51.1

and not even two full days because I'd finally get to the weekend and I couldn't fully enjoy Sunday
