Good morning everyone and welcome back to the Messy Masterpiece Podcast for Chad and

Tori. Happy Monday! Happy Monday! We hope that your week is starting off great and we

can't wait to jump on into today's devotional. Yes you guys, let's start the week off right.

We are reading out of the Thrive Bible today and the devotional is titled Appointed to

Do God's Work and the verse is 1 Timothy 112. It says,

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has given me strength to do His work. He considered

me trustworthy and appointed me to serve Him. The love that are from God says,

Beloved Child, I will give you the strength to do the work I have called you to do. Remember,

it is not you but my spirit working in you. Even when you're weary, I can work through you.

When you're insecure, you are even better able to put your security in me alone. I'm not looking

for you to be confident in yourself. I'm looking for you to put your confidence and your trust in me

to complete the work I've assigned to you. Now breathe in my faithfulness and receive my joy,

which will give you strength to do my will. Love your Heavenly Father. The reflection says,

we often work hard to accomplish things God never intended us to do. Then we wonder why he does not

bless them. Our failures can save us from investing our lives in things that don't really matter.

Whatever God has appointed you to do, He will give you the strength and favor to accomplish.

The treasure of truth is God will give you the strength you need to do His work.

Yeah, I love that. Me too. I know that with me specifically, in the times I've been the lowest,

those are the times when God has come through the greatest. And it's like deep in my faith and love

for him. And I remember whenever you and I first got married, I was confiding in one of my best

friends about our financial situation, which if you were listening, it was not good. It was not good

y'all. It was a not good situation. Even though we did pay off our debt. We did. You know, there's
