If you have scripture tonight, we're going to dig in together to an Old Testament

passage in Isaiah 53, and leading up to Good Friday and Easter, we're thinking about the

last days of the life of Jesus, thinking about what happened to Jesus, and thinking about

because of what happened to Jesus, something powerful has happened to you and happened

to me.

And I just want to just set this out there as a thought tonight that the truth that God's

going to open up to us tonight, for some of us it will be like, yes, I've been in church

on my life, I've been through Lent a lot in my life, I've been through the Passion

Week a lot in my life, I've come up to Good Friday and up to Easter a lot, I've heard

the story a lot, but you know, I believe God still wants to bring freedom to everybody

in this house, and I want you to think about this, I want you to think about the fact that

it is possible that something that you walked in with today is going to be broken and

freed in your heart, and you are going to walk out of here today, I mean right now with

a freedom that you have not experienced in your life before, because of the work that

Jesus Christ, our Lord, has done in our place when He gave His life for us in suffering

and in death on the cross.

The scripture says that by His wounds, or by His stripes, we are healed.

The tense of that verb of being healed is past tense, and so what it is saying is that

by the wounds of Jesus, that we have been past tense, finished work healed by God.

We're talking about spiritual healing in the context of this passage, that we have been

restored, our hearts have been put right, our accounts have been put right, our guilt

and our shame have been done away with, and we have been put in a brand new place, with
