Today is a weekend episode which means I'm going to give you a short

technique tip that you can use in your day-to-day to find more presents, a little

bit more calm, and re-enter yourself when you get off keel. Before we go into that, let's settle

in together with the sound of the bells. Okay, so today's short mindfulness tip is an acronym called Stop. I'll break it down for you.

It is four components. S stands for stop. T stands for take a breath.

O stands for observe what's going on in your mind. And then P stands for

proceed with presence.

STOP. Now, stop is an acronym you can use in moments of feeling overwhelmed.

It's particularly useful when you find yourself gripped by stress,

often moving through your moments very quickly

on automatic pilot without much presence and

awareness and the first step of it of actually stop is really useful in those

moments because it interrupts our pattern so to speak and actually forces us to drop in and go okay

let me step out of all this chaos in my mind or all this habitual reactivity

stop and it doesn't mean necessarily physically stop,

but just stop being so caught in that momentum,

in that energy.

Drop in.

Stop. Take a breath. Always a good way to reset. Observe what is going on in your mind. Where is your mind? Is it caught up in the future? Is it caught up in the past? Jud caught up in the past judgments ideas everything that could go wrong very simple we've talked about this in other episodes especially in episode three of the mindfulness episode so we just observe and then we proceed with a little more presence.
